1st soccer goal-

Dude it has almost been a week again - yikes

as always our week was busy busy

Monday - was work ( another long work day Mondays just really stink at the PO ever notice how you always get a lot of mail on Mondays? it is generally the heaviest mail day) and soccer in the evening

Tuesday- I worked for a little bit in Litchfield and then cleaned the house - woo hoo exciting - Claira went to Julie's to play and Dallen had Cody over to play -
oh wait there was a little excitement in the morning - on the way to school I was watching the truck in front of me and it just drove off the freeway all the sudden and I thought i was going to see this dude flip right in front of me ( there are a lot of big ditches on the sides of the freeway around here and tons of sagebrush to drive into ) but he didn't he just got right back on the road like nothing even happened - so i was careful and tried to give him room just in case he was drunk or something and I turned off at the first exit to main st ( even though i had 2 more exits till the one i take for the school ) on my way back I saw Julia and Juliann on the side of the highway... I thought they were parked watching the road construction - and I thought to myself girl you better get her to school cause it starts in 5 min and it is Starr testing this week ( which means the teachers are very strict about the kids being in their seats on time) then i see the truck i was behind earlier he was stopped on the side of the road way off in the grassy part - i figured he was stopped to watch the construction - and home i went
then I saw Julia at good old Walmart - and she told me about being behind this crazy truck this morning on the way to school - so of course i had to tell her i was behind too and decided to pull off so he would not hit us.... so she had gotten the truck to pull over and she called the police and told the construction people to watch out for this truck in case he started driving again... turns out that the guy was diabetic and his blood sugar was really really low and he was going into a diabetic coma and that is why he was all over the road - by the time the police got there and then called the ambulance and they got there the guys blood sugar was 20 nice huh - So Julia saved the day - way to go Jules!


on to Wednesday - i worked again woo hoo - then we had soccer in the evening - we played a really good team all kids that have played many years and they are the type that practice a lot - which is good but our team has kids from all over on it so we do not practice so we stood no chance at winning - but that is really not what spring soccer is all about here anyways-
So in the 2nd half we score our first goal - made by none other than my Claira - it was her first soccer goal ever so she was really stoked! ( and it was made against a friend of hers who is a really good soccer player so that made it a little more special too - sorry miss Francis) so we got subway and TCBY on the way home

Thursday i worked in Janesville for a few hours - yeah i know what happened to me only working 3 days a week huh - then Claira and I went to Reno to do the grocery shopping while the boys ended up going out shooting

today I worked again - oh what a surprise huh - then i delivered a candle to my best customer - Katie!!! - came home and cleaned a little cause my house was tore up - picked up the kids and got some Schwan's - they were having a fund raiser at the school so we had to get some ice cream of course - and Cody came over while his mom and dad were in Reno and now we are just settling down hopefully the kids will go to bed soon - doubt it though LOL

nothing really exciting just same ol stuff - once day i will upload pics cause i know it is boring just reading LOL

what a long week this has been ....

Even though I did not work every day this week I feel like it has been a long long week.

Monday- worked all morning.... we had 4 clerks scheduled.... one girl went to the wrong Post Office ( we have 2 in susanville) so she ended up staying there to work because no one called her to tell her hey you are at the wrong PO and then one of the other clerks he was just there for an hour to help out and get a little OT before his regular shift up at the other post office ...... SO we were totally late getting the carriers to the street. Not a good thing at all! So I ended up staying until I had to leave to pick up the kids from school then we had soccer that evening back in town - in the FREEZING cold - dallen already had a cold so we ended up watching the 2nd half from the car ( it was parked pretty much on the field so it is not like i left claira alone )

Tuesday- i had the day off and i think i pretty much slept all morning i think i got just about nothing done the entire day

Wednesday - i worked again but only till 12:30 - then we had soccer in the evening and then achievement day too

Thursday - I had off and Eddie and I went to the meat sale - every six months this grocery store in town has a huge meat sale - the prices are pretty good so when we can afford it we always buy a ton of meat - and since we are just about out of beef from our cow we bought a bunch. Then Eddie and Jim went shooting with Jim's son Michael - the kids and i got home from school the same time they did and Dallen was so mad that they went without him. then Chance and little chance came over when Jim and Michael were leaving and they ended up staying for dinner.

Friday- I worked again only till 11:00 so not too long - I had this horrible pain in my side like in the appendix area and I did not really feel like going to urgent care so i took a little nap and tried to get rid of it ... finally it went away - my visiting teacher was supposed to come over but she ended up not feeling well too so i had the afternoon free

sat- I worked again but only in janesville I helped out there and it was not bad at all - they close the window there by 10 and so you get to go home by 10:30 and i did not have to be there till 7:30 so that was nice and with it being a whole 8 min drive it was so much better than driving into town - we got another cat- from a friend of mine who just wanted to get rid of hers - he is a year old so we will see if we can keep this one around - he is living in the back garage right now we are hoping that if we give him a home in there maybe he will stick around and eat the dang mice - claira went to a friends to play for the afternoon and dallen and i went to town and did some shopping

today- today was dallen's end of the year wrestling party - we did a BBQ at the park out here ( i brought cookie salad- a lot of people were passing on trying it but once a couple people did everyone loved it and wanted the recipe LOL ) they gave out awards to all the kids and they gave the die hards ( the kids that stuck around and finished the season) some shorts that they had janesville wrestling printed on them - so Dallen of course got the shorts - and once coach said dallen was a really good wrestler and the only thing he wished that dallen would do different is to smile more ( cause when we are at a tournament he is very serious and is all about winning) then another coach said " If you could clone a wrestler this is the wrestler I would want to clone" I thought that was really nice, that same coach has talked to me through out the season and told me how much he loves that dallen listens and then does exactly what they ask for and that he gives it his all and does not screw around at practice. ( yeah cause if he did i would kick his little butt!!!!) It was a nice day out today I think I even got a little sun burnt from being out in the sun all afternoon -

long update...

Wow it has been a long time since I updated ( and my mom has only told me to update once- good job mom)

I am officially going to start working part time next week! Woo Hoo - 6 days a week was just too much and then I tried 5 and that was still too much. So I decided Mon Wed and Fri are enough. The Susanville Post Master was not too excited but he did not give me any grief about it. I just could not stay up till E would get home from work and then get up early to go to work everyday it was just killing me. So 3 days a week woo hoo!

Reno Worlds was an experience to remember... We knew that it would be a challenge for Dallen but we figured that it was worth a shot. He tried hard but he did not win. ( the kids he wrestled were way out of his league - this is only his first year and the other kids have been wrestling for 3 to 5 years so they know their stuff - and for some of them this is their life wrestling everyday and going to big tournaments like this one but we have just been doing it for fun. ) He ended up in 5th place and he was not happy about it. (my kids get really upset when they are not 1st or 2nd or do not get an A on tests) He did not even want me to take a picture of him with his medal - He did get a pic taken with a guy (what his name is I have no clue - but he is like mega in the wrestling world) and you were not allowed to take your camera in the area they were taking the pics. They do this so they can make some money. And I mean mega money. I ordered a copy of the pic with the guy- I only got one and I think it is only a 5 X 7 - it was a whopping 23 bucks - Dallen Sooooo did not want me to order one but I thought hey this could be a once in a lifetime deal for him or he may want to continue with wrestling thru high school and this might mean something to him later. So once I get the pic I will share it but I still have not gotten it yet. I do not have any pics of Dallen at wrestling because you could not take your camera down to the floor and I was down on the floor with him for every wrestle so no pics. So wrestling is over now we just have a team party next weekend and we are done for the season.

Now we are onto the next sport- Soccer - Claira is playing spring soccer it is just a short 6 week season ( thank heavens) She is playing in the under 12 division even though she could have played in the under 10 - but for fall she has to play U-12 so I figured why not get her used to it now. In spring soccer the teams are co-ed. She was not too excited about that and I really thought she would hide when she was up against a boy but she hasn't. She even went up against a "Big Bubba" in the last game and he kicked hard and she put her leg out to block it and Wham it hit her shin guard Hard- all the parents went "oooowwwee" after the game she said look mom I did not even cry. No soccer pics yet because we have only had 2 games and it has been windy and rainy so I did not want to take my camera out of the car.

Today is Dallen's birthday. He is turning 8 - he is having his first sleepover today with 2 of his friends. It is a crazy mad house right now - I am wondering what I was thinking when I said yes to a sleepover. luckily it is not too many boys
