post office drama....

well today the new girl at work quit- well resigned before she got fired really - but her husband works at the federal prison and is being transferred to a prison near Stockton so she was going to leave in 6 weeks anyways - but still she quit! She works wed and Thurs this week and is done!

So the boss calls me in his office (He is not technically my boss since I work for the Litchfield Post Master and I am just filling in at the Susanville P.O.) So I go into his office and he tells me that the new girl is leaving (yeah I already knew all the gossip way before he shared it with me) and that he wants to put in a request to hire me as a casual for the Susanville office... by doing this a few weeks later he can ask for an emergency in service test for me to take and if I pass - which I darn well better - then he can hire me as a PTF ( meaning a part time flexible Clerk) which will mean I will make a little over double of what I make per hour now and will I will be eligible for vacation and sick pay ( which I am not eligible for now) and I will be able to get benefits. I will still have to work 6 days a week most of the time but they will then be able to work me 8 hours a day instead of 6 that I work now. I rather just stick with my 6 but either I take it or leave it.... now just to make the decision .....

we are off to soccer in an hour - so later gaters

Quick update

I uploaded some pics from Bub's wedding to the family snapfish page- so you can see them there- some are really blurry and some are a little off in the shadows but I think i can fix them. Since not all of you are "family" I will share some of my fav shots of Bub's wedding. Getting a pic of Bub is really really hard. (for those of you that do not know Bub is my middle brother Brian) and I was able to get a couple of him that I love.
This one is of my newest SIL Amanda and her mom Carmen

I hope to get off work early tomorrow so I can upload all the soccer pics too. But I am not holding my breath. Well I need to go check on my butter pecan rum cake. If it turns out good I will share the recipe ( it is just on the back of the box!)
The fire is finally contained so the smoke is not too bad anymore - we can finally breath again!
Tomorrow Shell and I are going to draw kid names for Christmas and I will post them so all the family members can look here when they forget who their kid has - cause my brain is on overload and there is no way I am going to remember who has who more than a day!

So we have decided to not exchange gifts between the brothers and sisters (otherwise known as aunts and uncles) in my family. And we will draw names for the kids (cousins) sometime soon. I think this will just help us out to not spend so much and to have Christmas more about the kids. Thanks for your input everyone!

**Hooter (did you know that is what we call you in our family?) - I will now consider it family history and I will continue to update on Sundays- thanks for the tip!

I said i would upload some soccer pics but I just have had no time everyday after school we have some sort of activity so we have little free time - which means mom has NO free time. So here are a few of my fav soccer pics of Claira - she is really liking soccer i told her after the first game to be a little more aggressive (cause during the first game she tripped a girl and then made sure she was OK - that is fine in everyday life but in the middle of a soccer game that is just not OK- ) so she has gotten a little more aggressive each game and this last game i thought she was going to kick some trash (as Mormons say) She was totally pushing the other team out of the way and it was good but if the ref. had seen it she could have gotten in trouble cause you are only suppose to lean into other players with your shoulders not totally elbow them - but she did not get caught so i guess it is OK - I love the picture with her with "red legs"

well that is all for now - I have to go get my kids working on their chores!
