Christmas

So I have been thinking about Christmas. (Yes it is time to start preparing for it already) Every year we spend and spend and I think we loose the real meaning of Christmas. So I was thinking of changing the gift giving situation this year. We shouldn't feel like we Have to give to everyone it should be because we want to and not be something that puts us into debt. So I was wondering how other families do the whole gift giving portion of Christmas. Do you draw names? do you just not exchange? What do you do? In years past we have drawn names ( between my siblings and our spouses... So like I would draw and buy for Michelle and Ed would draw and he may buy for Josh) and then everyone (all the aunts and uncles) buy for the grandchildren currently there are 7 grandchildren on my mom's side. On my In laws side of the family we just buy for the parents we do not exchange with the siblings or the cousins... unless on the off chance that someone had a good fiscal year and they have a little extra to give that year and they will maybe buy something small for the cousins, but that is about it.

So what does your family do???? I honestly would like to know!! I know that I have friends that read my little blog but never comment - stop lurking and tell me what you think

Ice Cream and Cake

Oh my gosh we say this cheer here!!!!

Ice Cream and Cake
Ice Cream and Cake
all the boys love
Ice Cream and Cake

It cracks me up I thought only Grant High School Cheer sang that song and We sing it here too!

Claira and Julieann (Claira's BFF) have been making up cheers for the past week. They even have one they do when they see each other at school. It is called the Butterfly it is quite funny.

my favorite cheer is

Fold that paper
Yeah Yeah
fold that paper
Yeah Yeah

that is written by one of my 3 favorite nieces!!

Claira had her first soccer game last night! She actually did quite well. I thought she would totally clam up but she didn't she was one of the most energetic on the team. If she was a little more aggressive she would be really good. (along with learning a few more of the soccer basics) It was stinking cold so for the second half of the game she pulled her socks all the way up under her shorts - it was sooo cute ( if you are 4) I have not uploaded the pick to the puter yet but once i do i will upload them to my blog

We are off to Back to School night!!!

Smell goods!!!

So how many 7 year old boys do you know that have to put "smell goods" on? About 2 weeks ago Dallen discovered his dad's deodorant and cologne. He kept coming up to me and asking me to smell his chest. It was too funny. I thought he would forget about it after a day or two but NO! I do not really want him putting on deodorant yet I think he is too young. So I bought him his very own "Smell goods" this weekend. They had this 3 pack at wally's of body pray that seemed to be mild enough so I bought it for him. We told him you only need one spray of it per day, cause he was just too strong for me LOL.

Yesterday was a "crikey" day for me. I got on the puter in the morning to check my email and such and I look down and it is 10:15 "crikey" church starts at 10:00. The kids had not gotten out of bed yet and so I just kept playing on the puter when I realized what time it was. Oopps I guess we are missing church today. - Yes mother I did not go to church yesterday - (i can just hear her scolding my name - "DANIELLE") Then I went in the house and realized I left my breakfast dishes on the living room floor "crikey" I could not believe I did that I must have been half asleep. I am usually not the culprit for that kind of thing it drives me absolutely nuts when dishes are not put on the counter when they are dirty. I think it must be from working my butt off 6 days a week.

Eddie just came and told me there is another fire... I is rather new no air tankers yet but we can totally see the smoke coming up from the other side of the mountain - it is windy as all get up out here today so I am sure we will be keeping an eye on it for the next few days ... but it looks like it is heading north (towards town) rather than over the mountain and towards our house.

I learned how to use digi templates today. I have got how to use ploppers down with the last 2 pages I made but today I learned how to use templates. They are really easy and I think they would be great for someone who has not scrapped before to learn there style. There are so many free templates available on the net it is unreal. so many free kits, brushes, embellishments too. You can totally try it out with out spending tons of money to see if you like digi scrapping. That is a huge plus to for me!!!

So here is the page I made today. It is of my nephew Kayden at the pumpkin patch last year.
I used a template from Mrs Wresh - you can access her blog from my link on the side I have yet to figure out how to add a link other than having it say all that http junk - one day I will learn it all - and I also used a kit ( that is all the paper and embellishments for those of you that do not digi scrap) from AmsDigiScraps it is there free autumn kit. - oh look i figured out how to do the link thingy woo hoo
Oh and for anyone who wants a butt load of paper scrapping stuff my good friend jen is selling off all her non Creative Memories stuff on ebay. She has a reserve set and even with the reserve price you are still getting a very very good deal. check it out...
