No Phone, Snow & Wrestling

#1 If you have been trying to call me in the last 2 weeks or so good luck LOL The squirrels have chewed the phone lines a couple streets away and so our lines were down for a few days they are back up now but the static on the line is so horrible that we just use our cell phones and if you call and leave a message most likely I will not even be able to understand it so don't bother - So use our cells if you need us bad enough

#2 It is stinking snowing I am so ready for spring but i guess it is not quite time yet

#3 - Today was Dallen's Wrestling tournament in Burney. We woke up to snowy icy roads ( oh so nice at 5 in the morning) - We got to the school 2 min late ( at least by the clock in my car) and everyone had left already. So I called E and had him map quest it and tell me how to get there I figured with the way I drive I would catch up to them in no time but just in case I better figure out how to get there cause who knows if there will be cell service on the way there. So we head out towards redding and Bam straight ice so I keep going and finally catch up to a car ( first one i had seen going my direction ) and it was some friends of ours so I slowed down and followed them . It turned out to be a good thing cause a while later a big rig flashed us and so we figured there was something up ahead but we drove about 5 miles and nothing so as soon as I let my guard down Bam we turned a corner going downhill and there were 2 cars in my lane . I was on complete ice so I tried to slow down a little but that was not going to happen so I slid all over the road but I corrected it and got myself back to wear i needed to be ( i may be a fast driver but I am also a good defensive driver- and humble too) The kids had no idea what even happened! So then we got to burney and signed in - then went to eat at burney's main street cafe - if was a cute little cafe very simple mom and pop kind of place - it was good - but you know ed's is better LOL - i had half a plate of biscuits and gravy- ed's is WAY BETTER but it was not horrible - then back to the tournament- Dallen's age and weight they did a bracket type of placement and he won his first in like 20 seconds pinning the kid and then lost the second one getting pinned by the other kid in the 2nd round. So that moved him into 2nd place and he did not have to wrestle the other two kids in his bracket cause they were already below him. So we headed home cause by then it was already 3 and our other teammates still had at least 2 1/2 hours till they would be done. So home in the white out storm we went. I just love snow in the middle of march. I have not looked at the pics i got yet there may not be anything good i thought my spare battery was charged but it was not the case so i do not have many pics

Mindy - Mt Shasta is about 2 1/2 hours away from here - i got to the turn off to go there today and it was still 90 miles away from there ( which it took me an hour to get to that turn off ) - sorry it is kinda far huh

A Long Long Week...

This has been such a dang long week I am so ready for it to be over. We came home Monday ( and no way was i stopping to buy groceries in Reno with the possibility of any of us getting sick) Everyone was fine claira just felt a little sick but I think it was cause she would not eat ( I think she is going to have the same fear of the stomach flu as me ) Tuesday she decided she wanted to stay home from school - she could have gone i think but heck if she wants to stay home fine with me cause she likes school and does not want to just get out of going... Tuesday night Dallen gets sick - Eddie said " oh this one is bad!! ( meaning the strain of flu) I don't look forward to getting sick!" But honestly dallen was not near as sick as claira. So Dallen is fine now he is just home playing x box. So I have called in sick everyday this week to work I am sure the boss at the PO that i fill in at is not happy but what can ya do.

Shell - claira is so excited to come to Idaho this summer - Granny told her we would take the minivan - Dallen heard that and that made him excited LOL - I however am so not excited to be driving the mini van to Idaho!!! Dallen is sooo bummed that you are not having a Tyler he asked why does everyone always have to have baby girls why can't they have boys i want more boy cousins - I told him he has KK and TJ and he said " yeah and that is all!!"

Tomorrow is Claira's birthday she will be 10 - so you know what that makes me???? OLD -

OK i will tell a story from my teen years- i just told this to my mom and dad last weekend - my mom had this thing that she NEVER let me drive with any other teens i was 15 1/2 by the time i finally got to and Mindy was the first one I was allowed to drive with - well that night she ran a red light totally by accident LOL but we both looked at each other and laughed and she said "don't tell your mom she will never let me drive you again" - then another time we were driving i think Sarah green may have been in the car with us i don't remember for sure but this older guy started following us we had no clue why but once Mindy realized it she started driving faster and taking all kinds of turns to make sure he really was following us - we started getting freaked out so faster she went and we ran a couple of stop signs over by the nords house on those back roads there ... finally we lost the dude but dang we were freaked -

So right now we are in Sac Town we came down for my SIL's baby shower - and we came down a few days earlier so that we could celebrate Claira's birthday while we were here. SO Friday we got here and ate lunch at my brothers house then went shopping for a few hours and then headed to Cheesecake Factory for claira's birthday dinner. Then more shopping after dinner. Sat morning we all headed out to Costco - wow don't go there with 3 adults and 4 kids it is not a good idea - so we came home ate lunch and jen and I went back out to find me something to wear to the shower. Came home ate dinner watched a quick movie and then back out we went again to shop some more.... it has become a really expensive weekend. Then in the middle of the night i wake up to hear claira in the bathroom.... sick - Now I HATE the stomach flu it has always been a huge fear for me so usually ed is the one who really deals with the kids when they have the stomach flu but if he is not around I take care of them but it is not my fav thing to do. So I called my MIL this morning and told them i was not coming to the shower.... So i have been stuck in sac today with a sick kid and dang she is sick .... so hopefully she is well enough to travel tomorrow and that no one else gets sick. I really wanted to be home tonight cause ed goes back to work tomorrow and I have been kinda sick to my stomach about it all week but looks like it is a no go. so maybe we can be home before he gets home...
