Claira was in a little class play today. It was about California Missions. The kids did quite well they sang lots of songs in it and many kids had solo parts. Not Claira, she is more like me but not quite as bad. I never would have had any lines in a play back in 4th grade, no way.
Ed's cousin Sean came over today they hung out for awhile and shared some family secrets with me .... oh wouldn't you like to know ....
Today was my last day at work for 3 weeks i am kinda excited to have a little break from that place it starts to wear on ya, but it is not too bad being there 3 days a week 6 stinks but 3 is not bad.
Friday I am going on a field trip with Dallen's class to Reno to see a bug museum. (parent's can't ride the bus so I am driving - but still have to pay for my child to ride the bus!!)
Monday I am going on a field trip with Claira's class to Coloma- It is a nice 4 hour long bus ride on a windy road so Claira asked me to drive her so that she did not have to be on the bus all day. So I am ... it is not like i wanted to ride 8 hours on a bus either - plus they ask for each kid to bring a barf bag with them and I don't deal well with that even from my own kids so I know I would not do well with other kids LOL So we will drive and probably go to In & Out for dinner ( in Auburn) . Want to meet us there Grandma? Want to go to Coloma?
I am making an album for Abby for her baptism - I will share it here once she actually has it - T & D both know that I am making her something but I want to wait to share it till after she actually opens it.
Well guess I should head to bed. The kids have "late start" tomorrow ( teachers are having a meeting so they don't start till 10:15) and then I am getting a hair cut. So we get to sleep it woo hoo.

I changed my tracking system... while I was reading blogs today I stumbled onto a blog and she was talking about how she did not like the fact that the FeedJit tracking system showed the whole world your city and your blog info. SO I thought about it and it is another privacy glitch so I decided to change to a different tracking system - this one will allow me to see who has been on my blog but not the whole world. I can also see things like what page you found my blog from and how long you stayed here and how many pages you looked at. It really is cool. So if you want a tracking system on your blog check out this tutorial that Hummie has made it may convince you to go with this system too.

Claira is usually a very well behaved girl ( at least for the most part). She is usually very respectful to other kids and adults. Lately though it has not been the case (with me at least). Yesterday I told her she could not get fake nails. She did not like that at all!!!!! I told her that the "real" fake nails are not like the ones I let her get from Wally's that stay on for a day or 2 if you are lucky. I told her that when she was a teen and if she still wanted them she could get them but she would have to pay for them herself. She rolled her eyes and gave me the look of " You don't know what the hell you are talking about" I looked at her and very calmly said "NO, You will not behave that way in this house! You look at me like I have no clue what I am talking about and that you will do it anyways.... and that will not fly in this house! You better change that attitude towards me. You don't have to like me and what I don't allow you to do. But you will treat me with respect." 10 is just way to early to start disrespecting your parents! I don't know if it is partly because she was hanging out with a girl that is not polite this weekend or what but I will not put up with that crap at 10 no way. She wants her nails done for our trip to Idaho and I told her she could get them painted before we leave but no fake nails. If she wanted to wait we could do all the girls nails when we were in Idaho I would even spring for the fake "lee press on"ones from wally's if she wanted but no "real" fake nails. Why does she want the fake ones? Well my manicurist came to my house yesterday and did mine for me and now she wants them done. - If anyone wants their nails done in town I have a great girl that will come to your house - and she is clean!! let me know and I will give you her number!

Yeah I had to go and open my big mouth and say there was no global warming here..... well not anymore mans alive it is hot today. 90 today and tomorrow ... yuck. I think we had one week of spring and that is it.
we got 2 kitten's last Thursday. One boy and one girl. The boy is Shotgun and the girl is Grey-C. Claira named the girl and Dallen the boy ( like you could not have guessed that huh) the mommy was named Grey and she liked Gracie but that is what T&D sometimes call Abby so I said it can not be that so we thought of Grey-C. I know I know David is going to kill me. Cats are not his favorite animal.
E mowed the lawn the other day and ran over a little family of bunnies. ( He was on the rider so he did not see them hiding in the long grass) There were 7 of them and 2 of them made it. We are not going to keep them I already have too many pets. But there Mom has not come back for them.... Dallen thinks that it may be the bunny that our neighbor shot the afternoon before ( the same bunny Dallen wanted to shoot but he was grounded from his BB gun.) So for now they are in the front flowerbed hanging out waiting for mom to come back.

Happy birthday MOM! my mom is another year older today - she is really not old though - my boss is older than her and it just kills her every time I tell her how old my mom is LOL
Today was a day of firsts.... My car did not start when it was time to pick up Dallen from school So I called the school and had him ride the bus home - it was his first time to ride the bus - He loved it of course. I walked down to the bus stop ( the end of our road) to meet him and to get the mail. While getting my mail I got stung by a Bee ( for the first time) and man that does not feel good. So walking home my blood is pumping and I started swelling I swelled a bout 3 inches and was only half way home. So I called a friend cause her boy is allergic to bee stings and I knew she would know what to do to get the poisons out fast. So I came home and put mud on my arm and Wham that drew out the poisons really fast. So for future reference use mud to draw the poison out it works wonders.
Morgs- Forever stamps are stamps that are worth whatever the current first class letter rate is... meaning that today it is .41 as of Monday it is .42 ( and in the future it will be more for sure) if you buy the stamps at today's rate they will still be good forever... So if we were all rich and knew that we would be using a lot of stamps in the future then buying a whole bunch would be a worth while cause... because you know the rate will soon be more once again. The actual price difference in a book of stamps starting Monday will only be .20 a book so it is not big but if you were say having a wedding soon it would be smart to buy them now

postage goes up 1 cent Monday - so purchase your forever stamps this weekend

I for one want to know were the global warming is.... cause it sure a Heck is not in Susanville California!!!!!! It is stinking cold today it has been thunder and lightning for a while now with heavy rain and hail mixed in along with it. So were is the warming? I would like some sun please. We were going to do a little outside work today but no go on that ...
instead Claira and Dallen are cleaning out underneath Claira's bed. Claira is not like her mom she tends to keep every little paper she ever wrote on and many times it ends up hiding under her bed. Usually I go in and clean her room really good once every other month so it never gets too bad in her room. But today I asked her to do it.... and she whined a little and I told her that she is 10 now she does not need her mommy to clean her room. I went to check on her and the mess is now so huge - honestly how hard is it to get a garbage bag and put the crap in it rather than getting it out from under the bed and throwing all around the room ? it is just papers throw them away - it is not like they are journal entries or something just papers she has written things like her name on .... and grandma don't say to me " oh mother.... let her keep her papers they mean something to her" she has to learn not to be a pack rat now so it does not turn into a huge ordeal when she is in her adult years.
speaking of not turning into a pack rat .... because I have started mainly digi scrapping I am wanting to get rid of at least half of the scrapbook stuff I have that I have not used yet..... so if anyone wants anything let me know I will sell it off for a really cheap price to you. I have been thinking about putting it on ebay but I never seem to get around to it. I don't want to get rid of it all but the stuff that i barely used before and the stuff that I know i will not use in the future I want to get ride of - plus it will help pay for all the printing of my digi Layouts.
I need new church clothes.... I am sick of wearing the same darn things.... but I am picky for my area you can not bee too dressy they are very very laid back. the men come in jeans and cowboy boots and a button up top for heaven sakes so it is not like I need to wear some Jessica McClintock dress or anything but i just have such a hard time finding things. I don't like my skirts too short I rather have longer ones that cover my white legs ( since there is no "warming" here they are stark white) and I don't like my tops too tight - cause my boobs are too big - I think I would feel different about that if they were nice and perky big boobs LOL but they are not they are big "Mom" boobs LOL - and I have to have sleeves nothing with caps sleeves either they have to be short sleeves as to not show off my stark white arms LOL - i was looking at downeast and they have some cute stuff and most of what i like is decently priced so I may just break down and order a couple and if I don't like them i can always send them back right
morgs- yes Abby is David and Torrie's baby and Marley will be Michelle's little girls name-
and I called the exterminators and they will not cover mice and snakes out here - we live in a very rural area just like Michelle and there just really is not hope in killing off the mice and snakes completely - so what we have to do is find the hole and stop them from coming in.... we thought we had but guess not - so I am de-cluttering the kids rooms ( this serves multiple purposes for me LOL ) in hopes that we do not create many spots for them to "hide" in just in case they are already in the house - we have also put out poison for the mice - but obviously we have missed a "hole" in the house somewhere if the snake could get in ... so it is back to the drawing board LOL -

well not literally - ( that is just the line woody used to say in buzz light year) today Dallen came running out of his room saying there was a snake in his room. I said well go tell your dad not me! E was in the shower and he heard all the commotion so he quickly got out to check out the snake. Luckily it was just a little one but still we don't like snakes outside let alone inside the house. So he has dallen get the bebe gun and he shoots the snake dead. Earlier this morning he was just telling me that he had a feeling that this was going to be a bad snake year so I was just going to have to suck it up and learn how to shoot a gun. Part of me wanted to laugh and part of me wanted to cry - what the heck how did this snake get in my house - oh probably the same way the darn mice are getting in.... yeah you read that right mice! we thought we had them taken care of we thought we plugged every nook and cranny in the house but I guess not cause this morning i found a "nest" in my closet which I swear was not there a few days ago - so I guess we did not get every hole - so it is back to being afraid to go in there alone i guess just when i was starting to think it was safe.... sometimes I HATE living in the country - but then I know E would be miserable in the city. So it just means he is going to have to fix the problem - and we are going to have to get a cat or 2 or 3 - Shell - I might just have to bring yours home with me next month!
We went to the children's fair today - that was so much fun - if you like having a billion people around you and random kids running a muck all about - but not too fun if you are an anal mom who does not let her kids go off by themselves or just with their friends and run a muck - then it is not too fun. They always have the people from Thumbs up at the children's fair doing fingerprints and photos of the kids in case they are ever kidnapped or missing. But they were not there this year (which was the whole reason I took the kids) as you can tell it is my favorite community activity here LOL
Today was NSD ( national scrapbook day) there were tons of free goodies online for digi/hybrid scrappers - so I downloaded a bunch no just need to find the time to scrap with them all - I have been working on a badge album for little Abby - it was going to be an ABC album but dang that is a whole lot of pages - so I am just doing an album with all the people in the "Sorenson" side of her family - and it is still taking a long time but I think I can use the pages again for Marley too once she is born - once the pages are done it will not be that hard to update the pics if we have new girl babies born in a few years ...
Mindy and Mom - no I did not get a pic I did not take my camera cause I don't like taking it out in the rain and snow... and because of the HIPA laws I do not know how the truck dude is they will not give any info out at the hospital

Dude it has almost been a week again - yikes
as always our week was busy busy
Monday - was work ( another long work day Mondays just really stink at the PO ever notice how you always get a lot of mail on Mondays? it is generally the heaviest mail day) and soccer in the evening
Tuesday- I worked for a little bit in Litchfield and then cleaned the house - woo hoo exciting - Claira went to Julie's to play and Dallen had Cody over to play -
oh wait there was a little excitement in the morning - on the way to school I was watching the truck in front of me and it just drove off the freeway all the sudden and I thought i was going to see this dude flip right in front of me ( there are a lot of big ditches on the sides of the freeway around here and tons of sagebrush to drive into ) but he didn't he just got right back on the road like nothing even happened - so i was careful and tried to give him room just in case he was drunk or something and I turned off at the first exit to main st ( even though i had 2 more exits till the one i take for the school ) on my way back I saw Julia and Juliann on the side of the highway... I thought they were parked watching the road construction - and I thought to myself girl you better get her to school cause it starts in 5 min and it is Starr testing this week ( which means the teachers are very strict about the kids being in their seats on time) then i see the truck i was behind earlier he was stopped on the side of the road way off in the grassy part - i figured he was stopped to watch the construction - and home i went
then I saw Julia at good old Walmart - and she told me about being behind this crazy truck this morning on the way to school - so of course i had to tell her i was behind too and decided to pull off so he would not hit us.... so she had gotten the truck to pull over and she called the police and told the construction people to watch out for this truck in case he started driving again... turns out that the guy was diabetic and his blood sugar was really really low and he was going into a diabetic coma and that is why he was all over the road - by the time the police got there and then called the ambulance and they got there the guys blood sugar was 20 nice huh - So Julia saved the day - way to go Jules!
on to Wednesday - i worked again woo hoo - then we had soccer in the evening - we played a really good team all kids that have played many years and they are the type that practice a lot - which is good but our team has kids from all over on it so we do not practice so we stood no chance at winning - but that is really not what spring soccer is all about here anyways-
So in the 2nd half we score our first goal - made by none other than my Claira - it was her first soccer goal ever so she was really stoked! ( and it was made against a friend of hers who is a really good soccer player so that made it a little more special too - sorry miss Francis) so we got subway and TCBY on the way home
Thursday i worked in Janesville for a few hours - yeah i know what happened to me only working 3 days a week huh - then Claira and I went to Reno to do the grocery shopping while the boys ended up going out shooting
today I worked again - oh what a surprise huh - then i delivered a candle to my best customer - Katie!!! - came home and cleaned a little cause my house was tore up - picked up the kids and got some Schwan's - they were having a fund raiser at the school so we had to get some ice cream of course - and Cody came over while his mom and dad were in Reno and now we are just settling down hopefully the kids will go to bed soon - doubt it though LOL
nothing really exciting just same ol stuff - once day i will upload pics cause i know it is boring just reading LOL
