Woo hoo I found the LO of Dallen ( the finished version). It was just in with all my templates.
Katie- I started doing digi about 6 weeks ago. I just do not have time to get all my supplies out and create pages anymore (at least for the time being). I had been interested in the digi stuff for a while but I had never ventured into it. Then one day I thought i would just take a stab at it. It is really simple ( once you have a program - which i already did for adjusting my photos and uploading LO online) The thing that I really love about it is that there is sooooo much free stuff on the web and you can just download it. So I have only spent money on my program (PSE 5) so far, and then it will just be the cost of printing. Since I have, oh 6 empty scrapbooks laying around, I am going to try printing out some of the pages I made and just sticking them int he albums I already have. Once those are filled I am thinking about doing them in hardbound books from Lulu.com. But I will still do regular paper LOs too just when ever I am in the mood. However I am getting rid of a lot of paper products - mostly the older stuff. Right now they are at a co-workers house ( she is just starting to scrap) she is going through them to see what she wants first. After wards I plan to post them here in case anyone wants anything and then afterwords I am thinking about ebaying them. I do not have a price that I want for any of it just a donation, cause I know that I can not get what I actually paid for the stuff since it is older but a little bit of it back would be great- which would help me pay for the new digi LOs to be printed. So keep watching I will post them on here one day.
It is cold and rainy here today - the kind of day to stay in the house by the fire. But I am not building a fire just yet. We can just put on some extra clothing. We still need to buy more firewood. If any of my local readers know of anyone who is selling firewood please let me know. The guy we had cutting firewood for us just hurt his knee this past week and I don't know if he will be able to finish cutting wood for us this year. We still need quite a bit so if you know of anyone let me know.
I still have no idea what to spend the money on - I have a couple thoughts but most are very practical- 1- shutters for the front window- we took them down when we resided the house and I have always wanted to get some but who ever has the money for things like that, it is just an extra and not a necessity so it is something that always gets skipped over. 2- clothes - i need a new church dress since it is winter here already - something long and warm since it always seems to snow sat night and you sooo do not want to go out in a knee length dress. I also need some sweatshirts - just pull over or zip up kind cheap ones that I can wear to work that I am not going to cry over them getting ruined ( cause that is what will happen at the P O) definitely need new pants - cause mine are yucky from working at the P O... and some long sleeve shirts that are cheap to wear to the P O - down east had some 3/4 sleeve on sale for 5 bucks so i was going to get them but the only color they have available is berry and I do not need a whole bunch of berry colored ones... 3- gorilla racks for the front garage so that one day I can start getting my food storage together and have it on the racks - I am thinking one or 2 for food and 1 or 2 for the household holiday decorations (which I have a ton of ) 4- Candles - I need some more fall and winter candles ( yes I can always come out to my scrap room and grab them when I want them but that adds up really quickly- and then I would not have a huge supply to sell to all of you) speaking of which there are some dang cute holders out now for the holiday seasons- i have a cute ghost to put a votive or a tea light in... i will have to take a pic of it cause he is not up on the Cachet site yet. We also have some new holiday scents this year! That is all I can think of to buy - not really exciting huh- I can think of a ton of things that the kids could use clothing and organizational wise - but the rule is it is not for the kids - i think he did say house too but that is too hard LOL -

well today the new girl at work quit- well resigned before she got fired really - but her husband works at the federal prison and is being transferred to a prison near Stockton so she was going to leave in 6 weeks anyways - but still she quit! She works wed and Thurs this week and is done!
So the boss calls me in his office (He is not technically my boss since I work for the Litchfield Post Master and I am just filling in at the Susanville P.O.) So I go into his office and he tells me that the new girl is leaving (yeah I already knew all the gossip way before he shared it with me) and that he wants to put in a request to hire me as a casual for the Susanville office... by doing this a few weeks later he can ask for an emergency in service test for me to take and if I pass - which I darn well better - then he can hire me as a PTF ( meaning a part time flexible Clerk) which will mean I will make a little over double of what I make per hour now and will I will be eligible for vacation and sick pay ( which I am not eligible for now) and I will be able to get benefits. I will still have to work 6 days a week most of the time but they will then be able to work me 8 hours a day instead of 6 that I work now. I rather just stick with my 6 but either I take it or leave it.... now just to make the decision .....
we are off to soccer in an hour - so later gaters

I uploaded some pics from Bub's wedding to the family snapfish page- so you can see them there- some are really blurry and some are a little off in the shadows but I think i can fix them. Since not all of you are "family" I will share some of my fav shots of Bub's wedding. Getting a pic of Bub is really really hard. (for those of you that do not know Bub is my middle brother Brian) and I was able to get a couple of him that I love.
This one is of my newest SIL Amanda and her mom Carmen
I hope to get off work early tomorrow so I can upload all the soccer pics too. But I am not holding my breath. Well I need to go check on my butter pecan rum cake. If it turns out good I will share the recipe ( it is just on the back of the box!)
The fire is finally contained so the smoke is not too bad anymore - we can finally breath again!
Tomorrow Shell and I are going to draw kid names for Christmas and I will post them so all the family members can look here when they forget who their kid has - cause my brain is on overload and there is no way I am going to remember who has who more than a day!

So I have been thinking about Christmas. (Yes it is time to start preparing for it already) Every year we spend and spend and I think we loose the real meaning of Christmas. So I was thinking of changing the gift giving situation this year. We shouldn't feel like we Have to give to everyone it should be because we want to and not be something that puts us into debt. So I was wondering how other families do the whole gift giving portion of Christmas. Do you draw names? do you just not exchange? What do you do? In years past we have drawn names ( between my siblings and our spouses... So like I would draw and buy for Michelle and Ed would draw and he may buy for Josh) and then everyone (all the aunts and uncles) buy for the grandchildren currently there are 7 grandchildren on my mom's side. On my In laws side of the family we just buy for the parents we do not exchange with the siblings or the cousins... unless on the off chance that someone had a good fiscal year and they have a little extra to give that year and they will maybe buy something small for the cousins, but that is about it.
So what does your family do???? I honestly would like to know!! I know that I have friends that read my little blog but never comment - stop lurking and tell me what you think

Oh my gosh we say this cheer here!!!!
Ice Cream and Cake
Ice Cream and Cake
all the boys love
Ice Cream and Cake
It cracks me up I thought only Grant High School Cheer sang that song and We sing it here too!
Claira and Julieann (Claira's BFF) have been making up cheers for the past week. They even have one they do when they see each other at school. It is called the Butterfly it is quite funny.
my favorite cheer is
Fold that paper
Yeah Yeah
fold that paper
Yeah Yeah
that is written by one of my 3 favorite nieces!!
Claira had her first soccer game last night! She actually did quite well. I thought she would totally clam up but she didn't she was one of the most energetic on the team. If she was a little more aggressive she would be really good. (along with learning a few more of the soccer basics) It was stinking cold so for the second half of the game she pulled her socks all the way up under her shorts - it was sooo cute ( if you are 4) I have not uploaded the pick to the puter yet but once i do i will upload them to my blog
We are off to Back to School night!!!

So how many 7 year old boys do you know that have to put "smell goods" on? About 2 weeks ago Dallen discovered his dad's deodorant and cologne. He kept coming up to me and asking me to smell his chest. It was too funny. I thought he would forget about it after a day or two but NO! I do not really want him putting on deodorant yet I think he is too young. So I bought him his very own "Smell goods" this weekend. They had this 3 pack at wally's of body pray that seemed to be mild enough so I bought it for him. We told him you only need one spray of it per day, cause he was just too strong for me LOL.
Yesterday was a "crikey" day for me. I got on the puter in the morning to check my email and such and I look down and it is 10:15 "crikey" church starts at 10:00. The kids had not gotten out of bed yet and so I just kept playing on the puter when I realized what time it was. Oopps I guess we are missing church today. - Yes mother I did not go to church yesterday - (i can just hear her scolding my name - "DANIELLE") Then I went in the house and realized I left my breakfast dishes on the living room floor "crikey" I could not believe I did that I must have been half asleep. I am usually not the culprit for that kind of thing it drives me absolutely nuts when dishes are not put on the counter when they are dirty. I think it must be from working my butt off 6 days a week.
Eddie just came and told me there is another fire... I is rather new no air tankers yet but we can totally see the smoke coming up from the other side of the mountain - it is windy as all get up out here today so I am sure we will be keeping an eye on it for the next few days ... but it looks like it is heading north (towards town) rather than over the mountain and towards our house.
I learned how to use digi templates today. I have got how to use ploppers down with the last 2 pages I made but today I learned how to use templates. They are really easy and I think they would be great for someone who has not scrapped before to learn there style. There are so many free templates available on the net it is unreal. so many free kits, brushes, embellishments too. You can totally try it out with out spending tons of money to see if you like digi scrapping. That is a huge plus to for me!!!
So here is the page I made today. It is of my nephew Kayden at the pumpkin patch last year.
I used a template from Mrs Wresh - you can access her blog from my link on the side I have yet to figure out how to add a link other than having it say all that http junk - one day I will learn it all - and I also used a kit ( that is all the paper and embellishments for those of you that do not digi scrap) from AmsDigiScraps it is there free autumn kit. - oh look i figured out how to do the link thingy woo hoo
Oh and for anyone who wants a butt load of paper scrapping stuff my good friend jen is selling off all her non Creative Memories stuff on ebay. She has a reserve set and even with the reserve price you are still getting a very very good deal. check it out...

take a chance and place a bid I promise you will not be disappointed
